Our workshops are presented in an upbeat, energetic manner so they are not only informative but fun as well. Each workshop is about 45 minutes in length. However, the time can be adjusted somewhat to accommodate the schedule of the host. This would include a question and answer period at the conclusion of each workshop.
Our workshops have been presented in a variety of different company settings. Some formats that have been proven to work very well include:
- Staff meetings
- Lunch & Learn sessions
- Health fairs or screenings
- Safety or wellness meetings
Many companies have benefited from our services including:
- Goodwill Industries
- MOPS
- TOPS
- Atmel
- Curves
- Focus on the Family
- Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy
- Colorado Springs City Senior Centers
- El Paso County
- Young Life
- Primrose School
- Christian Retirement Coalition
- Compassion International
- Church Groups; and many, many more
We realize each group is unique and we leave it up to you to know what is most beneficial to your members/clients/employees. These workshops can improve employee satisfaction, reduce lost work days, and reduce repetitive stress injuries. We have found that employees that attend these workshops perceive them as both valuable and enjoyable. Many workers' compensation carriers will reduce premiums once an on-site education program is instituted. We can provide Certificates of Recognition for Participation in the workshops, which is valuable for in-service training at many organizations.
We'd like to stress that the American Health Awareness Organization is a non-profit organization and our primary objective is to improve the health of the community through education. We have discovered that the best way to achieve this goal is by offering these free informational seminars. Our services are available to any business, club, or organization with a desire to become more educated on the subject of health and wellness.
To host a workshop, simply call the Executive Director, Mary Fox, or Cecelia Dunlap. The AHA will handle all of the set up from beginning to end. We have found that many companies wish to offer this service to their employees but simply do not have the time or finances to devote to this project. For this reason AHA will handle all of the details
If you are interested in hosting a Wellness Workshop, or have any questions about the workshops, please call Michelle Herbst at 719.533.0303 or outside of Colorado Springs , call Toll Free at 1.866.386.0040 .
