Prenatal Chiropractor Colorado Springs
When you’re expecting, you might think that discomfort is inevitable. You have hormones flooding your body to prepare you for labor, making your ligaments lax and muscles tight. Your weight distribution also has changed. The result? Low back pain, sciatica, mid-back pain and headaches. Many will likely have sleep difficulties, labored breathing or chronic fatigue.
These are just a few of the many problems that can be addressed through care at Freedom Chiropractic.
Safe & Gentle Care
One of the most common questions we get from expectant mothers: “Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?” We answer with a resounding yes! It’s not only safe, but it’s also effective and we have so many different techniques that it might not be your old school “rack and crack” type of adjustment. Prenatal chiropractic is always safe, comfortable and more specific.
The Care You Need During Pregnancy
Your care will be tailored to your needs. For example, if you’re an existing patient and become pregnant, we may not change your care schedule. If you’re new to us, you may need to see us 2-3 times a week to start. After your baby is born, we encourage you to continue care due to the trauma of labor, the demands of breastfeeding and having little sleep.
We won’t take X-rays on you, but we will utilize Insight Scans that can show us areas of interference in your spine. When it comes to your adjustments, we have pillows that will accommodate your belly and allow you to lie face down. Moms love it since they haven’t been able to for so long! However, if you prefer to be sitting up or lying on your side we can adjust you that way as well.
A Mother’s Story
2 AM. Pregnant. In the ER with severe neck pain and numbness.
She knew something wasn’t right… and she knew she needed more than a temporary fix.
“In October, during my second trimester, I ended up taking myself to the ER at 2 a.m. because of intense neck and back pain that radiated so badly I couldn’t even lie flat without shooting pain and numbness down my arm. At the ER I learned I had damage at C6-C7, including a mild disc extrusion pressing on my spinal cord. I was desperate for relief, and after finishing one pack of steroids, I knew I couldn’t ignore it—I needed a real solution.
That’s when I went to Dr. Jason at Freedom Chiropractic. He listened to everything I was experiencing, made me feel genuinely supported, and created a care plan that actually felt doable and aligned with my pain level—especially being pregnant. I’m truly grateful I committed when I did.
As I moved into my third trimester, not only did my neck pain fade, but the team at Freedom helped me manage the typical pregnancy discomforts, like lower back pain, before they became overwhelming. Every visit made a difference, and I always felt cared for and prioritized.
I’m so thankful I chose a comprehensive approach to my care, and I’m committed to continuing preventative care in the future. This experience has made my pregnancy so much more comfortable than I ever expected. Thanks Dr. Jason!”
